Andrew M. Andaloro (83), of Manchester, NJ, passed away on December 6, 2024
Andrew was a loving Father of four daughters, Wendy Barone, Gina Andaloro, Cara Mc Donald, and Andrea Scardino, ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and a wife of 52 years, Joyce Andaloro, who loved, supported, and encouraged his lifetime of success.
Andrew was a humble and generous man who appreciated the simple things in life. He was also highly intelligent and well-read. Andrew had a distinguished career in the military, law enforcement, and professional industry. In his later years, when faced with ongoing medical challenges, he demonstrated an unfailingly positive attitude and a disciplined mind. He was truly a fearless man who put the welfare of others before his own in both his professional and personal life.
He was a graduate of Lodi High School and Trenton State College. His employment began in the U.S. Marine Corps as a member of the 4th Counterintelligence Team, Fleet Marine Force (Atlantic) 1960-1963. Andrew worked for the New Jersey State Police (1964-1976) in Criminal Investigations and was an Instructor at the New Jersey State Police Academy. He retired from the position of Vice President of Investigations for Prudential Insurance Company of America in 2022.
Andrew was the past president of the Two Hundred Club of Essex County and the Society of Investigators of Greater Newark and the past Commander of Gibraltar Post 326 of the American Legion. He also belonged to several law enforcement and Marine Corps fraternal associations. In his retirement, he was a Hospice volunteer, led a veteran’s group at a local nursing home, volunteered for Meals on Wheels, and served in various volunteer positions for the New Jersey State Police.
Our father donated his body to forensic scientific research under the care of AGR (Anatomy Gifts Registry). At his request, there will be no funeral service.
In lieu of condolences, the family requests donations be made out to the Association of Former New Jersey State Troopers Association, P.O. 7852, West Trenton, NJ 08628. ( A direct hyperlink to donate can be found below)
He will be profoundly missed and fondly remembered by his loved ones, who can testify to his amazing life experiences and the wisdom he imparted to all who were blessed to call him a friend.
