Joseph Michael Doonan

We pay our respects to Joseph Michael Doonan Jr, also fondly known as Joey, who was born on April 24, 1977, in Cape May, NJ, and left us on March 20, 2026. His absence is deeply felt in our hearts and his memories will forever be etched in the minds of those who knew him. As T.S. Eliot once said, "What we call the beginning is often the end. And to make an end is to make a beginning. The end is where we start from".

Joseph Michael was a resident of Wildwood, New Jersey. His life had been marked by the loss of his brother and father, a pain that he bore quietly and privately. Those who knew Joseph Michael were touched by his resilience and strength in the face of adversity. His absence from family gatherings was not a sign of his indifference but a testament to the depth of his sorrow.

He is survived by his loving mother, Theresa Willis; his daughter, Catherine Doonan; his sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Greg Myers; his niece, Bridgette (Anthony) Catino; and his nephews, Andrew (Sandy) Evoy, Robert (Rachel) Myers, Gregory (Rebekah) Myers Jr. along with a great nephew and 6 great nieces. Joseph leaves behind his loving partner Samantha O'Donnell. He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Doonan Sr. and his brother, James Doonan.

Joseph Michael's life may have been marked by personal tragedies, but it was also filled with moments of joy, love, and connection. As Maya Angelou once said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel".
