Kathy Thomas, 73, of Howell, New Jersey, passed away surrounded by the love of her family.

Kathy was a truly selfless person whose warmth, kindness, and ability to love without judgment touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She had a way of lighting up a room and making people feel welcomed, loved, and cared for. The love she gave so freely throughout her life was returned to her many times over.

The roles that meant the most to Kathy were being a wife, mother, and especially Nana. Her three grandsons, Austin, Landon, and Madden, were among the greatest joys of her life. Watching the incredible love she had always given her family pour into her grandsons was a beautiful gift to everyone around her.

Kathy shared nearly 49 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Jay. Together they built a beautiful life and family filled with love. She was a devoted mother to her daughters, Katie and Colleen, and held a special place in her heart for her sons-in-law, Ryan and Daniel. Her family was the center of her world, and the love and care she gave them will continue through the lives they lead and the way they care for one another.

Kathy also shared a special bond with her siblings, Lilly, Patty, Jim, and Joe. She is also survived by her beloved nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.

Kathy was predeceased by her loving parents, Jim and Lillian Lynch.

Kathy will be remembered not simply for the things she did, but for the way she made people feel. She loved deeply, gave generously, judged no one, and made the lives around her brighter simply by being herself. Her family will carry that love with them always.

A wake service honoring Kathy’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 7, from 4:00–7:00 p.m. Private family services for cremation will follow.

Kathy’s family will forever remember her love, her warmth, and the countless ways she made their lives better. She was deeply loved, and she will be deeply missed.
