Forked River, New Jersey
Susan K Griffin, born Susan Kubichek on April 26, 1945, in Newark, NJ, was a beacon of light in the lives of those she encountered. A witty, loving, and dedicated individual, Susan's spirit and charisma were felt by all who knew her. Her diligence and hardworking nature were reflected in her professional life as the CFO at Metedeconk National Golf Club, where she worked tirelessly until her retirement in 2006. Thomas Edison once said, "There is no substitute for hard work," a quote that encapsulated Susan's approach to her career, her hobbies, and her family.
After relocating to Forked River, New Jersey, 17 years ago, Susan found solace in her life by the sea, a testament to her supportive nature. She was an avid reader, a lover of animals, and a beach enthusiast. Her affinity for Cape Cod and oysters was rivaled only by her love for horse riding, a passion she harbored since her youth. As a former head chef, Susan's love for good food was palpable, and her culinary skills were nothing short of extraordinary.
Preceded in death by her parents, June and John Kubichek, and her granddaughter, Kaitlyn Tripet, Susan leaves behind her loved ones to cherish her memory. She is survived by her children, Kelly Tripet and her husband Preston, her son John Griffin, her grandson Zachary Tripet and his wife Laura, and her brother John Kubichek. Each of them can attest to Susan's unwavering love, her witty remarks, and her steadfast dedication to her family. As Maya Angelou once said, "I sustain myself with the love of family," and this was true for Susan, as her family was the cornerstone of her life.
In honor of Susan, we invite you to share your personal memories and photographs on the memorial page. Your stories and images will serve as a tribute to the remarkable life she led, and the incredible woman she was.
